Dries Van Noten Spring 2013

Posted by on

Grunge-inspired plaids and tartans came clashing together with feminine florals at Dries Van Noten and we honestly couldn’t love the contradiction more. Sheer tent-like skirts worn over pants and lightweight plaid shirts tucked into a richly embroidered skirts . . . these covetable looks are sure to be emulated before you can say “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”

This is my favorite spring collection so far. It’s an elegant interpretation of 90′s grunge, Nothing too literal.

and again the color burgundy plays a big role this fall :D I can’t wait to wear it even though I think it can look very tragic! :)

As someone who attended high school in the late 90′s, I approve. Love the vivid sheer layers and that gray sweater + plaid!

Wow they even got the right sunglasses. A true tribute to Kurt Cobains fashion style and his influence in the nineties grunge look. I wouldn’t call his music grunge really I think it was just a really creative awesome punk rock group. I love Kurty his birthday was last wednesday my friends and I made a shrine and lit candles listened to all of Nirvana’s albums. I wish he didn’t leave us, but it’s cool these designers are keeping his spirit alive.
