BCBG Max Azria Fall 2013

Posted by on

Cashmere sweaters over silk embroidered shift dresses over leather pants. Quilted parkas over silk printed strapless tops over silk chiffon tunics over crepe skirts. We were all taking mental notes while being schooled in the art of layering at BCBG Max Azria yesterday. This season, Max and Lubov Azria combined the intricate tile patterns of Turkey, the eclectic style of the gypsies of Southern Europe, and the gritty street artwork of artist Phil Frost into one lustworthy collection – filled with a copious amount of separates for all your layering interpretations. Add slouchy beanies and thigh high leather boots and it’s truly head to toe perfection.

Great eclectic collection, and I think the emphasis on layering is great news, it will push us to be more creative in the ways we combine garments together, and it makes getting dressed a lot more fun!

You can almost visualise the Moroccan architecture in the designs. I adore the tunic/trouser combination with a far east influence. Intrigued by the thigh high footless ?leather leggings. Layers – can’t fault this look.

My hands down fave collection so far – watched it live streaming. AMAZING…. Fashion Week on the whole has been pretty inspiring. Lots of creativity and newness among the designs. Very happy!
