Awesome People Hanging Out Together archives photographs of icons and legends . . . well, just hanging out together. Daniele and Jodie Snyder, the creative duo behind one of our favorite jewelry labels Dannijo, sure understand the importance of presentation. Sara from Collage Vintage recently gave us a peek into their New York studio and we just love the way they’ve brilliantly transformed some of their gorgeous pieces into decorative, armor-like emsembles.

We can all thank Sara Jessica Parker for her idea of a collaboration with Valentino to design the costumes for the New York City Ballet‘s Fall Gala. 16 original designs were handcrafted with breathtaking couture details and pops of the designer’s signature red underneath voluminous tulle and organza tutus. Black and white was the main color palette and of course, each of the ballerinas were outfitted in ruby red pointe shoes . . . Valentino style.

Olga Kostina has turned her modest home, in the rural town of Kamarchaga in the Siberian taiga, into quite the landmark. Inspired by traditional macrame motifs, the Russian pensioner has individually nailed over 30,000 plastic bottle caps to create pixelated patterns. She’s vowed to continue adding more bottle caps until every wall is completely covered. So sweet, right?

Though my knowledge of video games and Japanese anime is practically nonexistent, I find myself endlessly amused by Pokémon & Fashion - an online destination where adorable Pokémon characters and highbrow fashion editorials and campaigns magically collide. Lighthearted and clever, it’s a refreshing reminder that fashion shouldn’t always be taken so seriously.

Burning Man takes place this week in Northern Nevada’s Black Rock Desert. It’s hard to believe that once a year tens of thousands of people gather to create Black Rock City, an entirely fabricated town dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. And after the week is over, there is absolutely no trace of human life leftover whatsoever. Honestly, amazing. Have any of you participated in this annual gathering?
