  3. Stunning. Love works of art that you just come across on the street. Makes art accessible to the general public. Your posts always make me miss my art history classes so much! They get me thinking so thanks for that!

I love street art like this so much – it just makes the world that little bit more beautiful and colourful. Knitted covers for lamp posts and trees etc have been popping up everywhere in Sydney.

Reminds me of an article my sister sent me about an artist in London who decorates snail’s shells and lets them carry on crawling the streets as ‘street art’!

I’m really impressed. I want to know the time of day that they put the braids in the pot holes. What happened to the traffic. My luck, I’d try that and get run over by a vehicle.

Does the yarn get dislodged (as even pavement did, to cause the pothole!) and wrap around axles/wheels of passing cars? This looks nice, but I would NOT at all like to be pulling it out from an axle/wheel/other moving parts where it got caught & perhaps caused something to seize up/maybe cause an accident.
