Redwoods Treehouse

How would you like to spend a day in this pod-shaped treehouse, built 33 feet high in a tall redwood, near Auckland, New Zealand?! Designed by Pacific Environments Architects, the treehouse was originally constructed as part of a marketing campaign for a local company and operated as a full service restaurant. Though it is no longer taking dining reservations, the award-winning treehouse is now available as a venue for private events. Honestly, magical!

  10. I was in New Zealand 4 years ago, and found it incredible …. the people, the sheep, landscapes and the pleasure of being in those 2 wonderful islands inhabited by the Kiwi, the rarest bird there … but after the homes of the Hobbits, the Zorbing …. created the mix … the ball tree house, lovely dinner and fresh air … that super post, congratulations.

  30. This tree house looks awesome! I wish I could see it in person; I’m really curious how big it is and what the natural surroundings are like. I love how the crossing bridge and the tree house itself are lit- it is so beautiful. I see that one side is open to the elements and the wood slats are not flush. Does that mean the weather there is so consistently nice that the builders did not have to worry about the interior getting wet or messed up? This would be an amazing location to have a romantic dinner party. I bet it is amazingly expensive though…
