Travel was the main inspiration for the designing duo behind Australian label Sancia. Designer Heidi Semetka and Angus Plate dreamed up their first collection of handbags while on a trip through Mexico, where they were influenced by the traditional carving techniques by artisans and leather stitching by saddles smiths. Their bags, each with just the right amount of boho flair, continue to be handmade from limited edition textiles and custom hardware. I mean, who can resist those subtle embossed details and braided and fringe accents?
(Sancia Handbags $250 – $499, available at Shopbop and Sancia)
They look amazing, I love the colours (especially the red one) and intricate leather patterns!

How incredible that I get to discover Australian brands on an American blog?
