Maticevski Resort 2016

Designer Toni Maticevski has mastered the art of casual drama. It’s an absolute oxymoron, I know. But how else would you describe the Sydney based designer’s knack for creating the most theatrical silhouettes, with large ruffles and high volumes – but yet, convincing us that most of his stunning separates can be worn during the day or to a informal evening affair. That is, if you’ve got the gusto . . .

    Hey Erica,

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing Maticevski’s collection. I think you prefectly summed it up with the phrasing “casual drama”. What I would do to wear some of these outfits!!

I think that Toni has a way of creating unique shapes the dresses, skirts, and overall outfits here that is incredibly eye catching, however it is the use of colors and textures that help downplay the drama.

This is not only going all over my pinterest board, but I’m going to have to tweet about it too!

Lovely! We tend to forget how intriguing an outfit can be that hides much of the wearer’s form. Apparently you can even smuggle in other people under these clothes!

These pieces are gorgeous. I love how so many of them just flow and take a shape of their own.
