Honor Spring 2014

It’s 2014 and spring has sprung in New York City – what better way to anticipate the flowering season than through the eyes of Giovanna Randall, of Honor. The collection started with strong pointed collars contrasted against black ensembles and paired with intricate lace and floral prints. And it ended with barefoot models, with tiny flowers dotted in their ponytails, skipping joyfully down the runway in ethereal gowns embellished with ruffles and appliquĂ©s. Happy times.

I wish I could focus on the fashion, but I look at the stick legs on some of these models and recall images of starving people in Africa. HOW IS THIS WOMANLY???? Have we not progressed as far as bad body images??

I can’t even concentrate on the collection because I’m so distracted by how unhealthy these women look. This just makes me extremely sad. Can’t the designers see how starved these girls look, especially in designs featuring their long thin legs? Sorry, I just can’t turn away from the obvious health issues in this post. Beautiful clothes, modeled on girls who would be even more beautiful 20 lbs healthier!
