For her resort 2014 collection for Gucci, Frida Giannini merged leisure and luxury in the form of lurex kimono gowns, paisley tunics, sheer metallic jumpsuits, and crystal-embroidered pajama sets in all colors of a sultry sunset. The inspiration? Jerry Hall goes to Rio de Janeiro circa 1970. Enough said.

Frida Giannini has done an incredible job thus far. She has made Gucci her own now after Tom Ford really brought the brand back to life. She had big shoes to fill. She’s done a great job.

There are some amazing pieces in this collection! I often with their clothing that although some of the pieces are beautiful, they are not easy to incorporate into ones daily wardrobe. The majority of the clothes in the latest collection are pieces that could easily be styled to suit one’s personal style.
