Sadko was an explorer whose musical touch won over the heart of the Sea King and eventually brought him wealth and love. This Russian folk tale character was also the catalyst for Alena Akhmadullina‘s resort collection. The ocean is so beautifully interpreted with the sea’s foam formed by cashmere and fur, Katsushika Hokusai-like rip curls printed on silk and chiffon, and ocean waves outlined by meticulously stitched denim. And the quilted tops and coats mimicking the motion of waves? So subtle and oh so lovely.
That second picture is just perfect. I love this collection!

This is creative but odd and unwearable except for a few pieces such as the the sea foam green mesh dress with furry sweater which is interesting.
I love folk tales and the legend of Sedko sounds so romantic! The dress with the waves and translucent shoulder and hem is amazing1 I really should do more clothing DIYs for hapinesswherever.wordpress.com
