Velvet Goldmine, a little glam never hurt anyone. City of Lost Children, JPG doing the sexy french sailor thing mixed with steampunk. Frida, traditional Mexican dress is always chic. 9 1/2 Weeks, Kim Bassinger making 80’s look chic and sexy with no shoulder pads in sight. Just a few!

ohhh, good ones ladies! i haven’t seen a lot of these. gonna add them to my movie rental queue!! thanks for sharing! xx
HAROLD AND MAUDE! I cannot even describe how much I love that movie. My junior year english teacher showed it to our class at the end of the year, and I have to admit we thought he was crazy at first… But by the end I simply adored it! Fabulous pick.
I LOVE these movies! I’m honestly sort of obsessed with Urban Cowboy. If it’s on TV, I cannot turn the channel. I must see John Travolta’s cowboy rage and Debra Winger – Debra Winger! – is fantastic. One of my all time favorites.

Ghost World
Kicking and Screaming (Noah Baumbach not Will Ferrell)
and oh so many others 😉
Oh my gosh! It feels so good to see my favorite movies as someone else’s favorites!
i wouldn’t say that urban cowboy tugs at my heart strings. what it does is make me laugh my head off because of the sheer amount of stereotypical nonsense that is all throughout that movie. there was a time when that movie was shown in movie theaters nationwide, and people actually spent money to watch it, and back then it was considered to be “good”. upon trying to watch it, i cannot even bring myself to get past 30 minutes of that cheese fest of a movie, and the reason for this is due in VERY large part to the amount of stereotypical “southern” nonsense that pervades it. FOR REAL.
