Brazilian telecom company Vivo recently sponsored a public arts project that involved 100 artists decorating and painting 100 public telephone booths around São Paulo. How cool would it be to stumble upon one of these helmet-like shells on the street? Even I would be inclined to pick up the phone and call you . . . maybe. Check out the rest of the designs here!

Goshhhhh, how much I love Sao Paulo! This is absolutely amazing!
They really are very interesting, especially in person, and when it´s not raining! 🙂
Sao Paulo is a very special city….
So cool… 🙂
Oh awesome!
The other day we saw a pay phone in a provincial park!! And all 6 of us tried to remember the last time we saw a pay phone, or at least someone using a pay phone in the city. These might help the lowly pay phones cause. 🙂

I live in São Paulo, I love your page, very nice! I see them all the time, there are more models around the Paulista Avenue, they are really amazing! xoxo
I’m brazilian as well and like the other two brazilian girls I was very happy to see this in your page. Those phone boots have funny names, they’re called “orelhões” which means big earls 😉

Hi, Erica,
I am proud to have participated in the Call Parade project. Initiatives like this show that art is an ally of marketing.
I enjoyed your text. Thanks for helping us spread our message.
PS.: If you have the opportunity to visit phone booths, be sure to check mine in the Pinacoteca do Estado.
Best, artist Quim Alcantara
Beautiful! And so wonderful to see comments from peeps who live there and have seen and participated in the art. Amazing. Also, is that panda girl one knit bombed as well. awesome! We needs more of this in America.
