The youthful and romantic themes radiating from the runways in Milan gave us an unexpected, molto bene boost as we near the end of fashion season. Here is what we were loving . . .
Bally: Thanks to new creative direction, Bally has been undergoing a cooler, younger transformation this past year. I mean, how can millennials not be swayed by Pablo Coppola’s ode to The Royal Tenenbaums by way of a Wes Anderson rich color palette, Margot Tenenbaum influenced outerwear and a hint of Richie Tenenbaum quirk? It wasn’t all too literal however. Asymmetrical fur trimmed blazers and extra wide leather trousers felt new and fresh.
Photographer Vanessa Jackman recently shot a delightful editorial at Artist Residence, a new 10 bedroom boutique hotel in Pimlico, London. Everything in the former Georgian townhouse, from the vintage velvet seating to the silver bathtub to the rustic elements, oozes charm and character. And with applauded restaurant 64 Degrees just downstairs and bespoke speciality shops a stone’s throw away, who wouldn’t want to stay here?!
We love spotting these neck scarves wrapped around the neck throughout fashion month – our favorite way to wear this timeless accessory. And you may not even need to look further than you mom’s closet or the dollar bin at your local thrift store for little silk square scarves and perfectly broken in bandanas!
An understated yet glittery striped manicure was starkly juxtaposed with Delpozo‘s structurally, colorfully and texturally dramatic fall collection. Manicurist Julie Kandalec kept the nails clean, matte and neutral and simply painted a vertical gold line along each nail – topped with a glittery, gold coat. Subtle, chic and so easy to recreate.
How sweet is this tree painting in Canta, Peru by street artist Jonatan Rivera? Wish I could stumble across moments like these daily. On that note, cheers to the little things and happy weekend!
