It was a shared enthusiasm of flea markets, vintage denim, and western wear (honestly, all things that are good in the world) that brought Hillary Justin of Bliss and Mischief and Jamie Haller of NSF together to create one kick ass capsule collection. Pieces include NSF’s vintage inspired favorites like boyfriend shirts, army coats, and slouchy denim – all embroidered with Bliss and Mischief’s signature western motifs. Only 100 pieces of each style have been created so y’all better act quick!
Sofia Monsters
Photographer Atanas Kutsev and illustrator Tochka have a lot of love for their hometown of Sofia, Bulgaria. On a mission to highlight the beauty and nuisances of their country’s capital, the duo has created a series of photographs of recognizable landmarks with adorably mischievous monsters. You might find some fearful of the over abundance of cars, some desiring more nature or some simply napping atop government buildings. So . . . when will these monsters come pay us a visit?
Spotted: Flared Denim
High waisted flares may be spring’s biggest denim trend – but honestly, when was this elongating silhouette ever out of style?! We’ve always loved our hip hugging, 70s inspired denim, with closet staples including MiH’s super flattering Marrakesh High Kick flares, Rag & Bone’s looser fitting Justine Wide Leg jeans, JBrand’s lower rise Martini Skinny flares and newcomer Frame’s dark washed Forever Karlie jeans. What are your favorites?
The Cinder Cone
Ever since he roused us with his thought provoking The Burning House project and inspired us with his impassioned photography book Home Is Where You Park It, we’ve been wildly envious of Foster Huntington’s life spent on the road. And even though he recently decided to settle down, we could only assume that his new home would be modest, simple amongst nature and of course – sick as hell. Foster and his friends spent six months building a tree house on his family’s property on the Columbia River Gorge in Washington. Two small houses, each about 220 square feet, are nestled in a cluster of five large Douglas fir trees and connected by a curved staircase and bridge. With an outdoor hot tub, goats and a skatepark, the Cinder Cone makes us all wanna dream big and live small.
