Honestly WTF

Zimmermann Resort 2013

Posted by on

It’s no surprise that we were absolutely smitten with Nicky and Simone Zimmermann‘s youthful, pure, and über feminine resort collection, which debuted at Australian Fashion Week several days ago. We especially fell in love with how modern mesh and perforated textures matched up perfectly against subdued pastel floral prints and traditional kimono-like silhouettes. Honestly, where do we sign up for the Zimmermann fan club?

The clothing is beautiful and magical.
But the presentation of the hair is terrible.
And you know, with Israel passing a law saying that underweight models are basically banned, and Vogue magazine declaring that they want to promote healthy body images – looking at these painfully thin models just looks strange. I think years from now, people will look back at ridiculous obsession with skinniness and wonder what we were thinking.

Beautiful! This is the first time in awhile I’ve felt like the essence of summer has really been captured. There is such a delicate feel and the shapes and cuts are so fitting!

I have a totally unrelated question :) Do you know what WP theme you use? I love the layout of your site… skinny header and search bar at the top… !!

So pretty! I am really into all these florals right now! And their hair styling is adorable but unique… liking all the white.

    These are really beautiful!!
I don’t like to be the correction demon, but in case you want to know, I don’t see any of the kimono-like silhouettes that you were referring to. The last and third-to-last have some cheongsam-like ones though, if that’s what you mean.
