The oh-so-humble and iconic market bag made a big comeback last summer, as the ultimate steal of the season. Not to toot my own horn but these knotted bags have been a longtime favorite of mine since I first DIY'd a street style look back in 2011. Originally made for fisherman, the filet became ubiquitous in French marketplaces as they were used to carry just about anything, from groceries to laundry. It's no wonder - these bags fit nearly everything and miraculously, sit on the shoulder with comfort no matter how much swag you're carrying! Nowadays, style trumps utilitarianism as the $10 bag has been recently spotted as a carrier for designer clutches and pouches. Brilliant juxtaposition. And this is another reason why, once again, the net bag is my #1 bag choice for summer. Plus, they’re far better for Mother Earth than PVC or plastic. Head to the WTF Shop to this bag and so much more!
