The Best Linen Bedding

Hi. My name is Erica and I’m a bedding-aholic. I don’t nearly have enough beds in my house for the hundreds of textiles I constantly lust over. A few months ago, it was mismatched block print bedding. Recently, it was crisp, white bedding. Currently, I’m absolutely obsessed with linen bedding. I love the soft, wrinkly texture and how it keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The natural dyed colors and organic textures are so sumptuous . . . I mean, lay me down in linen. Stat.

Linen TalesLithuania based Linen Tales is a boutique specializing in bedding, table linens and apparel. I’m personally obsessed with their Ashes Of Roses color – the perfect description for this gorgeous color.

Linge Particulier: Luxurious pre-washed linen bedding from France. They say that after washing, it becomes even more supple. It’s anti-allergic and no-ironing needed.

bedlinen5

House Of Baltic Linen: The House Of Baltic Linen is Lithuanian family owned company, based in Victoria, Australia. Their organic linens are made in Lithuania and Australia and designed with a vintage aesthetic in mind.

bedlinen1

H&M: $129 for a 100% linen duvet set? Bargain.

bedlinen8

Secret Maison: This French label continues the tradition of fine, handcrafted linens in natural, vegetable-dyed earthy colors like foam, amethyst, lichen, pearl, and sable.

bedlinen3

Bedouin SocieteAnother Australian company specializing in super soft linen sheets that come in opulently dark colors like coal, lead, fog and kohl.

bedlinen4

Cultiver: Cultiver is Australian based but made its mark stateside with their beautiful washes, included this dreamy blush duvet cover.

Hale Mercantile too – absolutely gorgeous.

I have several sets from Bedouin Societe – absolutely love them – and I’m wondering if anyone can tell me which other brand(s) are of the same calibre – just as soft and well made.

I’m trying to get some new colours outside their range but every other brand i try hasn’t been as nice – all rougher, thinner, etc. I live rurally so have to buy online….could use some suggestions.

Linen is AMAZING to sleep on. I caught the bug recently too. I bought 3 sets of stone-washed linen in 3 different colors, the muted colors of stones. Then I bought a grey linen bathrobe to go with. And now I’ve bought natural colored linen yard goods and started making nightgowns of my own design (based on Japanese linen dresses). This fabric feels like nothing else. It’s textured but soft on your skin. It’s almost like velvet. When I get into bed at night, I rub my arms and legs all over it like making snow angels except they’re linen angels.

Can you tell I am also obsessed!? I have plenty as it is, but I just bought a king size bed, so need a few more pieces to mix and match!!

  10. Dear Erica, Thank you so much for featuring Secret Maison washed linen bedding into your post. You got it so well, we are a house of tradition (since 2004) very attached to quality (linen and muslin linen manufactured and tied in France) and to focus on deep elegant tones that can match altogether. Shall we need to add we are obsessed? 😉 On behalf of our team xx&x. Have a good day.

I purchased some sets from IKEA and HM, but I didn’t like it. My skin is very sensitive and these were not soft enough for me.

I also purchased from MagicLinen https://www.etsy.com/shop/MagicLinen?ref=hdr_shop_menu linen sheets, fitted and flat and 2 pillow cases. Very soft, great quality. LOVED IT! I’m sleeping in a soft beautiful cloud now.

Oh and I also purchased linen bedding set the Pottery barn 2 years ago. Much more expensive and total crap, I had to return it 🙁

forget ikea! I’ve washed the linen duvet and shams I bought there about 30 times to soften and they still feel like tree bark. You’ll need an industrial rock tumbler or something. I’ve saving up for Italian stuff this time.

Rough linen is nice, but this freaky holes in sheets after 8 wash. linen must be durable, but soft. Tried House of Baltic linen and Linen tales. And once found a Lenoklinen shop there. I Like Etsy linen suppliers. This is its own website: http://lenoklinen.com/bed-linen/sheet-sets/natural-linen-sheets maybe would be use full as it amazingly qualified!

Forget lenoklinen, the bottom sheet developed holes within 3 months. Belarus linen is NOT the highest quality flax, has a lot of knots, slubs. It is just cheap, and they won’t replace it. Don’t expect miracles, You get what you pay for. I bougth sheets from Linen Studio RG -so worth the price! Belgian and French linen is more durable, with a very nice velvety texture https://www.etsy.com/listing/227213862/linen-sheets-king-queen-california-king?ref=shop_home_active_2

@Lewis I ended up going with linen bedding from Parachute! I absolutely love it and ended up getting linen bedding for the rest of the beds in the house. I thought I would have a hard time transitioning from cotton sheets, especially in the summer, but it’s the best decision I’ve made! They are so comfortable, I can’t imagine going back. 🙂 Good luck with your search/purchase!
