Mirror Mirror On The Wall

Whether it be convex, federal, portholes, or eagle mirrors, circular mirrors are traditional, classic and chic accessories for the home. Did you know that some of the more traditional federal convex mirrors have thirteen balls surrounding them representing the original states of the union? There are some great options on Etsy, Ebay, and  West Elm in case you’re in the market for one!

  20. These are incredible mirrors. It’s a great way to give the illusion of more space and it also looks so stylish.
I’m the sort of person that likes mixing old with new in the home and I can truly see this working in my modern sitting room.
    Will check it out.

These are awesome! My parents have had a mirror like this hanging in the living room for as long as I can remember, but I never knew that there was a specific name for it. I love that the 13 balls stand for the original 13 states… so subtly patriotic!

Great post, Lauren. I’ve never really paid attention to mirrors since they’re more functional in my eyes. What would you say to someone looking to get a mirror for a living room as a centerpiece of sorts? I wanted to get one but I wouldn’t want it to overpower the room.
