Valentino Fall Couture 2016

It seems only fitting that Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli’s last collaboration together at Valentino would end with a theatrical, Elizabethan-inspired couture collection that the world’s greatest dramatist Shakespeare would have surely approved of. The clothes were extraordinary, as usual. But oh, the hair! The hair, which was wrapped in tiny gold coils framing the face, was ethereal, graceful and modern. And easy to replicate, I assume, with some thin gold wire and metallic elastic. Give me some time to experiment and I shall report back . . .
