Nestled in the colorful fishing village of Trancoso, on Brazil’s idyllic southern Bahian coast, is UXUA Casa Hotel. This sustainable and spectacular retreat was created by former Diesel designer Wilbert Das, in collaboration with local artisans, using traditional building methods, reclaimed materials, and Brazilian antiques and art. Four of the ten casas are restored fishermen homes on the 16th century town green called the Quadrado, while the rest sit in a lush garden. My kind of paradise . . .
My god, that is stunning! Wouldn’t mind taking a few weeks off and lounging there. Wow! Still working up a list of spanish pet peeves for you, truth is, it is a pretty great place to live, but like anywhere there’s things that get on your nerves. You could always come back… no?

This place is absolutely amazing and I’d kill to be able to vacation there. I love all of the natural elements and simple but colourful decor. It holds the essence of Latin America which is so cool. I love it when these places let the natural enviroment speak for itself as opposed to trying to dominate the landscape. Just gorgeous!
