Honestly WTF

New Hotel

Posted by on

While visiting Greece a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of staying at the New Hotel in Athens, thanks to Tablet. The hotel’s designers, Brazilian brothers Fernando and Humberto Campana, are masters of recycled chic and have fashioned the interiors of the hotel with salvaged pieces from what was formerly the Olympic Palace Hotel. Chairs repurposed from old coat hangers and fabric, and walls covered in old lamps, wood scrap, and old table legs are juxtaposed with über-modern art, fixtures, and amenities. Exploring every nook and cranny of the hotel was beyond inspiring and visually stimulating. And with my favorite neighborhood Plaka just around the corner, you couldn’t ask for a better way to end a three week vacation!

Both the architechtural and design elements of this hotel are amazing! I am a huge fan of repurposing items and sustainability practices, so this had just jumped to the top of my list of places to stay. Thanks for sharing this amazing hotel!

Wow, this hotel is beautiful! I love the pretty pink wall with the gold cutout sculptures. What an interesting design concept, I’m sure we’ll be seeing more places like this one in the future as people and companies become more environmentally conscious.

    Shop vintage ♥
