Esperanza

If I were to list the top 5 reasons why I love living in California, one would certainly be how fortunate we are being so close to Mexico, one of my absolute favorite places to explore. So when I recently had the opportunity to visit Cabo San Lucas for a luxurious getaway at Auberge’s newly renovated Esperanza, I hopped on a plane faster than you can say tacos and tequila. The moment you step onto the resort’s picturesque cliffside property, you’ll never guess that the strongest hurricane to ever hit Mexico’s southern Baja California peninsula left a trail of massive destruction last September. Today, after months of renovations, the resort is as stunning as ever – thanks to a interior designer Mary Alice Palmer’s, of HKS Hospitality Group, refreshing vision of a cooler color palette of grays and blues and hand-made furnishings and folkloric objects created by Mexican artisans. Every design detail is thought out through and through, which makes the already impeccable service even more exceptional. I must say, it was one of the most indulgent stays I’ve experienced in my many years of travel and I’m just counting the days until I get to go back. If you’ve got a special occasion coming up or just looking for an escape, go to Cabo and stay at Esperanza . . . honestly, trust me!

This is an incredibly beautiful place, I always imagined Mexico to be hot and sandy (stupid me). Thanks to you I have a better understanding on how beautiful it can be. Thank you!
