Some of these models look so thin and unwell… for me personally I can’t even take in the clothes or appreciate the designs. I hate that these snapshots seem to promote the idea that you can live a successful, busy and happy life whilst being that underweight. It isn’t possible. I know that it is a point constantly debated in the media and has been for years – but still nothing changes and the industry continues to use models who are underweight.

Designers want thin girls because they want to show off the clothes, not the models. One could argue that Victoria’s Secret girls represent an ideal– but then, the models are far more famous than the clothes being sold in that instance. Super models, with the exception of heroin chic that was briefly in vogue ala Kate Moss, are generally more voluptuous & are who most people think of when you say “model.”
The girls pictured above don’t represent anyone’s ideal– they represent walking clothes hangers.
The girl on the first pic surely looks sooo thin. I think she’d look better if she wore not the baggy type of jacket.. I love almost all the leather jackets featured here! <3 <3 <3 Leather jackets never gets out of fashion!

Nice jackets, and yes I agree about the thin girls being kind of pathetic looking. Especially the third picture, the necks, arms and legs, and hollow cheeks are no different than a starving individual. It distracts from the great jackets.
