I’m not sure if I could pull off Birks…
I was so anti-birkenstocks for the past few years but I keep seeing such chic looks with people wearing them. Hmm. I’ll have to consult my wardrobe about this. If so, it’s black or navy for sure. Although, I do love how Man Repeller styled her white ones.

Totally all for the revival of the Birkenstock. I wore them all the time as a kid and just got a new pair of the black ones. I’m actually wearing them today with a short black skirt and super thick grey socks. Hah. I’m not entirely sure it’s a good look but I was so desperate to wear them I went for it anyway. Bring on summer and bare legs! xx
Not since ’90s, sisters. Have been wearing these since ’70s and they’re not just tremendously groovy but also most comfortable. For cold weather, add thick wooly socks for ultra hipness.

I agree with Rachelle, I just don’t think most women would be able to pull these off and look chic. Honestly, I don’t look at those pictures and think those are cool shoes with those outfits, I think those are gorgeous ladies rocking their outfits but why are they wearing Birks. I guess more power to the lady that can rock them!
Love these looks but I prefer the Gizeh; been wearing mine for the last 6 years or so. I don’t really feel they’re such a new trend though, at least not here in NYC.

Birkenstocks are a great pairing with a nice outfit when the occassion calls for a lot of walking, or to add an earthy feel to an otherwise very tailored outfit. I say go for it!

I have been wearing them for years and will continue to wear them. So comfy and keep my feet from getting all crippled up like some of the styles. Showing my age here, but when you destroy your feet with lousy, crippling shoes you will be sorry.

NOOO!! Bad memories of my aunt and gma (who I have a rocky relationship with anyway) sporting these *all* the time *everywhere*. Even if events were semi-formal they were wearing them. Bib moomoo dresses and birkenstocks at weddings. I can see their cracked heels, and unpainted toenails, and swollen ankles in my head now. Ackkk.
I have been debating on this trend forever. Idk if I can do it or not… But they do look great on all these ladies.
When you’re model-tall, you can pull off any footwear. The rest of us – not so much :p
