The Violin Maker

I spent many years of my childhood playing the piano. Interestingly enough, the violin is my favorite instrument. My love for this string instrument and my appreciation for fine craftsmanship has me excited for Dustin Cohen‘s debut episode, of his “Made In Brooklyn” series, profiling Sam Zygmuntowicz. Zygmuntowicz is a Brooklyn based luthier who has worked with many of the finest violinists and cellists in the world, including Isaac Stern and Yo-Yo Ma. Already, it’s music to my ears . . .

  6. I was literally YESTERDAY deciding that i wanted to learn how to play the violin (first because I have always loved it in music and second because it’s one instrument that will actually be able to it in my apartment) and I look at your site today to find this piece! You guys rock but get out of my head! 🙂
    Thanks for a great site!

as a cellist I too have a vast appreciation for the craftsmanship that goes into the making of a stringed instrument (and bows as well). Looking forward to watching this
