Street On Canvas

Posted by on

Diana of Miss Moss has taken her wonderful series of comparing street style photos to classic paintings to another level by merging the two into one. She’s layered the works of Renoir, Korovin, and Latour with photos from the likes of The Sartorialist and Stockholm Street Style. We can’t wait to see more!

I’m totally conviced that fashion is just a really personal way of art. I really love combining art and fashion. It’s just a way to represent that styling is a way to express yourself and your personality. On the ones hand it seems to be fabulous and imaginative but it totally emphazises those individual styles in a unique way. Great inspiration. Maybe you will like my kind of art, too:

The last one is crazy. She almost looks Luke the Chinese guy who paints himself into the background.

Thanks for this dose of Friday inspiration! It makes total sense to compare paintings to fashion–that’s how I see my clothes. Style is about mixing different colors, textures, patterns and playing with proportions to express oneself! These images are amazing.
