Though my knowledge of video games and Japanese anime is practically nonexistent, I find myself endlessly amused by Pokémon & Fashion – an online destination where adorable Pokémon characters and highbrow fashion editorials and campaigns magically collide. Lighthearted and clever, it’s a refreshing reminder that fashion shouldn’t always be taken so seriously.

* mini heart attack* ok now I am ok. BUT, what’s that? I was playing pokemon for ages, back then in the elementary school and I have never thought of such a project during the rest years. Impressive 😀

The Olsen twin and balloon girl are my faves. So fun.

SO SO CUTE, I LOVE THE ONE WITH THE GOATS:)) THE COLOURS MATCH SO WELL WITH THE ACTUAL PHOTOS, BUT THE FACT THAT I REALLY DONT LIKE POKEMON KIND OF KILLS IT FOR ME:) ANY OTHER KAWAII COULD BE GREAT THOUGH

This is the best thing I’ve seen on the internet today. I’m going to have to forward this to all my geeky friends!
I’m the same, no actual knowledge of video games or anime films, but I absolutely love the esthetic and style that come along with the two.
My favorites here would have to be the last two. The last one is especially funny.
I’m a complete nerd when it comes to pokémon, so I approve!

There is absolutely no denying it – They create a lighthearted, playful, and often comedic feel to each photograph which otherwise may have been moody, or full of brooding, or like you said a generally serious attitude. I love what they bring to the dynamic – It’s so frigging cool!!

You are right. Fashion doesn’t always have to be serious. And these remind me of the Louis Vuitton collaboration with Takashi Murakami.

I love this. I love how characters are actually interacting too – reminds me of that Stella McCartney ad a few years back where the Bambi characters were just stuck on the picture. This is much better, it looks like they thought about it right from the beginning.
God, this is so embarrassing, but I used to play Pokémon cards with my brothers when I was young! These photos are like my childhood hobbies and my adulthood interests colliding. Such an interesting find. Thanks for sending me a trip down memory lane!

Cute but Angry Birds are better!
That jigglypuff one made me day.
Oh I love those! They fit so well in the photos! Video games and japanese anime are such good sources for inspiration-the bright colors and clear shapes just take you right through the designes process
