The Cranley + London

Several weeks ago, I briefly stopped over in London before embarking on a week long sailing adventure in Greece. After turning to my trusty travel advisors at Mr & Mrs Smith, I opted to stay at The Cranley, a classically British and an incredibly charming boutique hotel in South Kensington. I must say, I was impressed with how much we were able to accomplish in just a couple of days – witnessing tennis superstars Serena and Venus Williams win their semifinal doubles match at Wimbledon, shopping at the wonderful and iconic Liberty of London, charging through the fabulous museums along Exhibition Road, and enjoying the most delightful high tea at The Savoy. And to top it all of, our digs at The Cranley was truly the icing on the cake . . . or rather, the clotted cream on the scone. You get my drift.

  6. It is such a gorgeous place (and unbelievably not that many people know about it). And afternoon tea?! One of the things I miss the most after moving to Mexico from London earlier this year.

I have fond memories of my stay at The Cranley in 1995. As I was entering the Lift (elevator), movie actor Jason Robards was exiting….confirmation it’s a discreet hotel with high standards!
