In 1848, thousands of men and their families migrated to Placerville, CA in search of gold after hearing news of it’s discovery. A few weeks ago Lauren and I visited the birthplace of The Gold Rush via historic Highway 49, and found ourselves on our own search for treasures and antiques. We also paid a visit to the 150 year old Placerville Hardware Store, the oldest continuously operating hardware store west of the Mississippi River! Honestly!!

Looks like that was soooo much fun. I haven’t gone to an antique store in a long time ha
What a great trip! The older a store is, the more fascinating it is to shop there. It’s like walking through time. I love coming across vintage products, still in the package, that have never even been owned.
Wow! This store looks like endless hours of exploring fun. Thanks for sharing!
These are so cute!
