I’m a sucker for tepee/tent living so when I first discovered Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, I immediately wanted to have a destination wedding there.  Unfortunately, it was too small of a venue and two years later I am still pining over this place.  Situated at the mouth of the Bedwell River, the resort will fly you in by seaplane from the Vancouver airport and upon arrival, an enclave of 20 large white canvas guest tents, massage and treatment tents, lounge tents and an untamed wilderness await you.

I am a huge fan of Indian blockprint textiles and have been a long time devotee of Kerry Cassil and her signature mixing of patterns.  I am dying for the day I get to go to India and visit Anokhi, pioneers of hand block printing for the export market.  Anokhi is known for its success in preserving and revitalizing traditional Indian textile skills, and for its involvement with educational and social projects in Rajasthan, India, where the company is based and its products produced.  Each pattern starts with carving one to thirty print blocks out of teak and then applying the pattern with vegetable dye on the highest quality, lightweight cotton.  Stunning, no?  Lucky you, they have a small online boutique based here in the States to hold you over until your next visit to India.
