What is a trip to Chicago without going to a Cubs game at Wrigley Field? Yesterday, I spent one of the last days of summer at a game with my entire family. Allen Edmond’s Major League Sandlot boat shoe is perfect for that die hard Cubs fan…which isn’t hard to find in The Windy City.
The limited edition book Emilio Pucci is full of beautiful photographs of the legendary designer’s joyful prints. Evocative of the same effortless glamour, the new fragrance Miss Pucci is a musky floral scent. It’s just how I imagine a free-spirited Pucci girl would smell on a jaunt to a sun drenched Mediterranean isle.
You’ve all probably seen Chanel‘s sick black biker boots here and there, but did you know that they were inspired by vintage motocross boots? Alpinestars, original manufacturers of motocross gear, were the first to start using the protective metal shin plates in the early 70s. Their latest throwbacks are as original as it gets, rougher and I’m sure quite the steal compared to Karl‘s.
A few days ago, Erica and I spent an entire day with my mom, rummaging through her jewelry boxes and discovering an incredible collection of treasures extending at least three generations. The jewelry from all over the world each carried a story, my grandmother’s Victorian pieces were beyond sentimental, my mother’s 80s and 90s costume jewelry was outrageous and totally fun, and two generations of turquoise and silver jewelry was swoon worthy. My bubby’s love of collecting has undoubtedly trickled down to me. It just goes to show that you don’t have to go very far to find the greatest of inspirations.
This gorgeous home of Lyndsay Caleo and Fitzhugh Karol is one of my all time favorites from Todd Selby. It’s eclectic yet still clean and light. Is it weird that I am totally obsessed with the built in knife block in their kitchen island? It’s genius, no?
