Though lovely, the frocks from Madame Hawke‘s beautifully shot lookbook have been upstaged by a single accessory. The SUPER LUCIA!

Vogue Australia took to the streets of San Miguel de Allende to showcase Spring’s boldest of prints and most vibrant of colors in their March 2011 issue. I must say it was the perfect location for this editorial and I totally adore it. So what if I’m biased . . .
Believe it or not, these images are not digitally enhanced. Honestly. The man behind these mind boggling art installations is Felice Varini, a Swiss artist who is known for his masterful geometric anamorphic illusions. Anamorphic illusions are images which only make sense from a single vantage point. One misstep and you’ll see fragmented shapes like this, this and this. Rub those eyes, look again and trip out. Varni has been challenging the notions of point of view and perspective since 1979, using projector-stencil techniques in various urban areas, entire villages, and historical buildings. Incredible!
Another beautiful image from our favorite Downtown From Behind. I’m hoping the “wintry mix” lets up a bit when Lauren and I head out to New York next week!
