Several years ago, after a trip to Southeast Asia, textile designer Lulu de Kwiatkowski started assembling large-scale collages from pages of old journals, love letters and vintage family photographs. Her autobiographical collages are inspired by a lifetime of travel and a whimsical upbringing. They are wonderfully colorful, eccentric, bold, and inspiring. The collages are on exhibit at Clic Gallery in NYC until May 8th. Check it out if you’re around . . . I imagine they are even better in person!
Ruffled tops, pleated skirts, cropped blazers and striped separates in reds, blacks, nudes and whites . . . honestly, molto bene! Porter Grey‘s Spring 2011 lookbook has me daydreaming of an early summer getaway to the Amalfi Coast. Whose comin’ with me?
I’m obsessed with designer Ek Thongprasert’s line of silicone gemstone necklaces. The concept is fantastically unique and it so cleverly begs the question “What Is Precious“? They are available at Olive Shoppe, however the pastel colors are currently sold out. I can’t wait to get my hands on a lavender one!
