New York Fashion Week has come to an end and it’s only fitting that we close out our coverage with a few of our favorite highlights: meeting a slew of beyond amazing bloggers (hollerrrr), attending DKNY and Narcisco Rodriguez (pinch me), sipping on cocktails in between shows at the Kanon Digital Bar at Milk Studios (so necessary), having a blast at Jeremy Scott (cactus prints & assless chaps), meeting Mickey Drexler at FNO (major), being blown away by our two favorite collections this season (Mara Hoffman & Chris Benz), filming a really exciting DIY video (can’t wait to share), and being nominated for 3 Lucky Fabb awards (humbled and grateful). Phew. See you next season, NYFW! xx

Diane von Furstenberg S/S 2012
Drawing inspiration from Senegalese textiles, Finnish Marikmekko prints, and Japanese kimonos, Diane von Furstenburg was all about conveying exuberance, optimism, and new beginnings in her Spring collection. The color combinations were beyond uplifting and fresh: bright pastels mixed with muted grays and rusts; high octane reds, blues and greens mixed with aubergine and stark whites. It’s no wonder the show ended with Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good” . . .

Leave it to Olivier Theyskens, the master of downtown casual chic, to create a new denim silhouette for Spring: faded high waisted jeans with the waistbands dropping below the hips and slouchy the rest of the way down! Pair it with a belt, a t shirt, and a pair of heels – and you’ll be full of swagger next season. Perfection!
