Our love affair with Erdem continues with another glorious chapter of anglaise lace and English-garden flower prints in rich navy blues, vibrant pinks, and classic kelly greens. For his pre-fall collection, however, Erdem Moralioglu tweaked expectations with the introduction of leather and plastic. Who else is brilliant enough to take rose-printed silk, cut it into a tweedy houndstooth pattern, hand sew it onto a PVC raincoat, and still manage to make it look elegant and ladylike?! Only Erdem . . .

The holidays continue with more festive gatherings centered around the dining table – and we’re not complaining. Creating a beautiful, winter-themed tablescape for your next celebration can be quite simple with just some flowering bulbs, gilded flatware, crisp white flowers, rustic pine cones, lush foliage and plenty of candlelight. Inspired by early 20th century Russian avant-garde motifs, suprematist art, futurism, ballet costumes, and graphic arts, Kelly Wearstler‘s focus for pre-fall was all about how shapes and textures play off each other. Her background as an interior designer translated into strategically cut clean lines in unsuspecting places, wonderful embroidery details and all in all, architecturally stunning looks.
