The first week of the new year is almost over and man, has it been a hectic one. Our schedules have been insane but we’re working hard at creating some exciting new content and kick ass DIYs for you! I also finally got around to putting together some photos of Lauren and me in the Sierras last November, taking down the tepee on the most perfect fall day right before the arrival of winter. With some much needed man power, the canvas was taken down and is now tucked away until spring. Hope you guys have a fabulous weekend!

I would never have considered wearing gold boots until now . . . love this look!

Legos were never my absolute favorite toy as a child . . . perhaps I was too wrapped up in Barbie and her Dream House. It’s a shame because these little bricks are honestly the best toy a kid (or adult) could have! I think I’m in for a Lego revival. Anyway, this video from Lego Click is awesomely wacky and I dare you not to smile while watching it. Make that a double dare.
It’s no surprise that the work of Mary Katrantzou is featured in V‘s upcoming ‘Discovery’ issue, featuring the next generation of emerging fashion designers. A relatively new designer, Mary has already made her mark with her simple silhouettes, emblazoned with hyper-realistic, richly innovative, bold colour prints. Her Spring 2011 collection is entirely printed with images of lavish hotel and stateroom interiors by digitalizing fragments of pages from vintage copies of Architectural Digest and The World of Interiors. Whether you dig her dresses or not (and I do!!), you can’t deny her talent and willingness to take a risk.
