Mary Katrantzou has once again joined forces with photographer Erik Magidan Heck with a series of dreamlike images highlighting pieces from her spring and fall collections. In their second and third collaborative effort, these photographs were inspired by early Parisian Surrealist paintings, Catholic iconography, and Greek mythology. Honestly, mesmerizing.
Artist Diem Chau has followed up her intricate crayon carvings with a sneak peek of two new carpenter pencil carvings she’s created for an upcoming show in Milan. In Raven & The Sun, the raven’s beak and round bead is carved from graphite and the rest of the bird is carved from the pencil’s wood and covered in graphite dust. Honestly, awe-inspiring. Read more about the inspiration behind each piece here.
ManiaMania‘s latest lookbook, featuring Dree Hemingway, is flawless and breathtaking. I’m absolutely floored by the Art Nouveau-inspired necklaces and crystal set cocktail rings . . . and with the perfect addition of decorative chain mail and delicate anklets, I just might need to get my DIY on this weekend!
We’re so thrilled to share very exciting news: HonestlyWTF is moving into a new office on August 1st! Our new space is a roomy, light-filled blank canvas, and is just waiting for some Erica + Lauren TLC. So as I’m gathering inspiration for our new digs, I can’t help but admire the way interior designer Suzanne Kasler utilizes space in her Atlanta based atelier. I love the large work tables, multiple inspiration boards, and open shelving for the copious amounts of DIY supplies and materials. It’s a perfect workspace to stimulate the imagination!
