Loose, kinda messy and to the side . . . suddenly, I’ve got long hair envy.
Telluride, Colorado
Telluride is in one word, majestic. I’ll never forget the first time I visited the small old silver mining town, which also happens to be my husband’s birthplace, nearly 8 years ago. I instantly fell in love. How could one not be charmed by the historic downtown district and the surrounding steep forested mountains, red rock cliffs and the tallest free falling waterfall in Colorado? The beauty just might make you forget about the altitude sickness that potentially comes along with being at 8,750 feet above sea level. The air up there is just better, clearer and downright glorious. So when LG recently sent me their latest G4 smartphone, clad in leather and sporting an impressive camera, I decided to bring it along with me on my trip to the Telluride Bluegrass Festival during the summer solstice. I was so impressed by by the long lasting battery life, manual shooting mode and high-res image sensors, that I didn’t miss my lugging around my DSLR all week – not for one moment.
Vilshenko Resort 2016
Olga Vilshenko‘s namesake collection, influenced by her Russian heritage, is a refreshing approach to the bohemian dress. We’re just smitten with all the by Russian folk patterns and traditional floral embroidery that adorn midi suede skirts, high waisted crepe pants, and floor skimming silk dresses. Paired with sleek culottes and simple silhouetted peasant tops, it all feels wonderfully modern.
Coffee + Ice Cream Sketches
You certainly won’t find Giulia Bernardelli crying over spilt coffee. The Italian artist paints intricate scenes and portraits with her morning cups of joe, ice cream, honey, wine . . . really, just about anything. Just check out her Instagram and be wowed by the things she’s able to create with food. Amazing!
