Honor Pre-Fall 2012

Thanks to the flawless styling of Giovanna Randall‘s feminine, bold, and beautifully tailored pre-fall collection, I am resassured that I will never tire of the bright fuchsia and flame red combo. I’m also especially crazy for the leather peplum blouse, the gleaming red blazer, green printed trousers, and the black lace babydoll dress – all of which I will be keeping my eyes peeled for when Honor‘s e-commerce launches in 2012!

Paris Bombay

The cavernous chamber of the Galerie Courbe in the Grand Palais was temporarily transformed into a magical backdrop for Chanel‘s new Metiers d’art collection, inspired by India’s Maharajas and lavish palaces. Tables were set with tiers of fruits, sweets, and flowers. Models, with khol-rimmed eyes, donned jeweled tikkas down the middle of dreadlocked hair. And this is just a sliver of the many extravagant details. Check out the beautiful footage below and see how pieces from the collection came together at embroidery house Lesage and button and jewelry atelier Desrues.

Crayola Wildfire

If you look closely, you’ll notice that these 3 dimensional sculptures are made from hundreds of thousands of Crayola crayons! Artist Herb Williams, who is one of the few individuals who has an account with Crayola (WTF!), wanted to raise awareness through sculpture for the wildfires that have recently ravaged the state of Texas. Unwanted Visitor: Portrait Of Wildfire consists of 5 five swirling flames, which over time would melt and change shape due to weather conditions. The project is display till the end of the year in Lubbock, Texas at the National Ranching Heritage Center.
