What might look like a series of abstract paintings, is actually a collection of aerial photographs of blue salt fields in northern Australia. The composition and surreal color that landscape photographer Simon Butterworth was able to capture is just incredible!
From the same people who brought the ever chic San Giorgio hotel to Mykonos’ rustic southern coast, Thomas Heyne and Mario Hertel recently opened a nearby beach and social club on the idyllic Greek island. The layout of the bohemian oasis, with open terraces decked out with hammocks and oversized day beds, was inspired by Ancient Greek community gathering places and designed to bring people together to eat, listen to live music or just relax. Paradise!
Designers and twin sisters Sara Brady and Ashley Cornil are turning up the millinery game with their line of accessorized hats. Their latest collection, inspired by their time spent in Spain and Mallorca’s coastal life, include straw hats adorned with reversible woven ribbons, pom pom trims, and silk tassel pins.
Abandoned and breathtaking. Perched on a cliffside overlooking the Black Sea, Romania’s majestic Casino Constanta is a historic monument that was built in 1904 to meet the needs of the Black Sea tourists during the Belle Époque period. This pearl of the Black Sea used to be a major attraction for European royalty and the elite but sadly, it has been abandoned since 1990. Renovations are expected to begin in the fall of 2015, so hopefully she will shine again in all her Art Nouveau glory.
