Our love of Minnatonka moccasins and obsession with Balenciaga‘s Fall 2010 shoes made this DIY we created for Foam Magazine a no brainer. With just a tube of Tulip Soft Fabric Paint, a pair of paintbrushes (one thin and one thick) and a pair of suede moccasins, you’ll be ready to make your own color block shoes. (Tulip Soft Fabric Paint is best paint to use, as it is highly opaque, flexible once it dries and great for suede.)
To paint the tops of the moccasins, the fringe will have to be tucked under. Simply untie the bow, pull the suede strings out of all the holes (note how it is assembled), and fold the flap under. (Click images to enlarge)

A great scarf is a girl’s best accessory. I love Hermés‘ new campaign and website, J’aime Mon Carré (I Love My Scarf), dedicated to their soon to be released line of limited-edition scarves. The site features a select group of girls from New York, London, Tokyo, and Paris showing off a multitude of ways to wear the colorful silk scarves. Although they will be exclusively sold at Colette, we’ve been inspired to fold, tie, and knot, nonetheless.

I don’t know why, but I love abandon buildings. I find them romantic.

Cotton candy, corn dogs, stuffed animals, line dancing, pygmy goats, hay stacking contests, draft horses, carnival rides, piglets and a good ol’ demolition derby…we love the county fair. Hope you guys had an amazing and memorable weekend too!
