The One That Got Away

Moda Operandi is tapping into a group of fashion insiders to share their tales of “the one that got away” in a new video series that has us all reminiscing about our own stories. Nobody ever forgets the one that got away. For me, it wasn’t a tall, dark and handsome fellow but rather a green printed dress that walked down the runway at Mary Katrantzou‘s Spring 2011 collection. Printed with digitalized fragments of stately interiors from vintage magazines, that dress epitomized everything I love about fashion. The surreal and sublime reinvention of the print literally tugged at my heartstrings. Alas, it was never mine. In 2 days Mary Katrantzou’s Spring 2014 trunkshow is ending on Moda Operandi and here is my change to finally own a piece from the artist. This time I’m not letting these sweet floral printed booties get away.

Ted Baker x StreetWinker

Ted Baker has launched a wonderfully cheeky new campaign featuring Redge Blaker, a sharp-witted cultural adventurer and alter ego to VICE’s co-founder Gavin McInnes. Equal parts fashion anthropologist and style ambassador, Redge is always put together in true British gent form and of course, accessorized with a whole lot of laugh out loud humor. Head on over to StreetWinker for comical “how-to” videos, dazzling GIFs, and tip top style – because who doesn’t appreciate a dapper, well dressed man?!

Rifle In Bloom

I am addicted to Rifle Paper Co. But honestly, who isn’t? I’ll find any excuse to send a handwritten card or note, just to relish their paper goods. Anna Bond is bringing her beautiful illustrations to life in her very first lookbook, using real flowers with the help of Brooklyn-based floral designer Amy Merrick. It’s simply perfect, isn’t it?
