Clover Canyon Fall 2014

In just the three years since Clover Canyon launched, creative director RozaeNichols has climbed to the top of the print ranks. This season, the designer turned to her Irish roots, drawing inspiration from Ireland’s landscape, stained-glass windows, clover motifs and my favorite tartan. The clothing is bold yet wearable and affordable.

Side Swept

It was all about sixties-mod at Gucci yesterday, which meant a throwback to side swept hair, dramatic Marianne Faithfull lashes, and perfectly winged eyes. This wasn’t the first time we saw the low maintenance do on the runway – Richard Chai, Peter Som and Proenza Schouler were all riding the textured deep side part this season. So pretty and easy to replicate, I’m actually tempted to suffer through the pain of growing out my bangs!

Sammy Slabbinck

Sammy Slabbinck combines different vintage photographs together to create surreal collages. By cutting up and redistributing the images, the Belgian artist plays with proportions and odd pairings. I especially enjoy the titles of his work like Solid Advice or The Pigeon Ranger.

Edie Parker

We’ve been obsessed with Brett Heyman’s retro-inspired, acrylic clutches since she launched Edie Parker a few years ago. Season after season, the designs just get more inventive and fun. Her latest collection of sapphire, coral and emerald inlaid versions are to die for – I especially love the faceted and circular shapes! Trés glam.

Come And Knock On My Door

Door knockers are the perfect first impression – they make a bold statement before anyone steps foot inside your home. I recently scored a vintage brass fox door knocker, which is a rare thing to see these days. In case you’re looking to add some flair to your front door, you can find great ones herehere, and via Etsy.
