After working with Marc Jacobs, Hugo Boss, Michael Michalsky and Preen over a period of 5 years, Berlin based designer duo Sarah Büren and Sonja Hodzode have made their own mark under the label Blame. The details in their wonderfully feminine fall collection, such as laser cut leather collars, crystal embellished knit sweaters and unexpected color combinations, are spot on!
How flippin’ dreamy is antiques dealer and designer Richard Shapiro‘s Mediterranean villa? Sitting high above Broad Beach in Malibu, antiqued sandstone walls and floors contrast perfectly against immense steel windows, open spaces, and an impressive black volcanic stone kitchen. And can we discuss how spectacular the smooth steel stairway balustrade is?!
We’ve been seeing a lot of embroidered art as of late but I must say that so far, I’ve been most impressed by Singaporean artist Izziyana Suhaimi‘s work. I can’t get over how skillfully she is able to incorporate ornate embroidery techniques with her own pencil drawings and watercolors, pushing the boundaries of traditional and popular culture. Simply beautiful.
