My flight is booked and I’m off to Spain in September! It’s been nearly 14 years since I last visited so I’m beyond excited to return to some of my favorite places as well as explore ones I’ve been dying to experience. Case in point: Majorca. The idea of staying at Cap Rocat, a luxurious retreat which was once a 19th century Spanish fort, makes visiting this large Balearic Island that much more appealing. So much to see, such little time . . . if you have any recommendations, I’m all ears!
I recently thrifted a framed print of a kachina doll by Homer Boelter, a skilled wood engraver and a master of the lithographic processes. Fascinated by my new treasure, I researched the artist online and discovered that there are 15 other kachina dolls in his Portfolio of Hopi Kachinas, which was published in 1969 and limited to 1,000 signed copies. While he was a leading book designer of Western lore, Homer became well acquainted with the culture and artistic talent of the Hopi people which lead him to the creation of these beautiful plates.
A couple of months ago, I gave the delightful team at The Coveteur a first look at my newly renovated home – and closet. Though the house is still a work in progress, it was so much fun watching these closet peeping pros work their magic. Check out the anecdotes behind some of my favorite wardrobe items and rest of the tour here!
My recent trip to Mexico’s Riviera Nayarit has sparked my craving for more travel around Southern Mexico and Central America. For Love & Lemon‘s spring collection, which was designed and shot in Guatemala, has me dreaming of wearing nothing but their gorgeous dresses, embellished with the most delicate lace and repurposed with hand embroidered huipiles, on another Latin American getaway. And can we talk about the stand out chartreuse lace pieces that will so perfectly compliment that summer tan of yours? Honestly, stunning.
