A year later and I’m still loving this trend. What about you? Are you on board with mirrored sunnies?
DIY Pearl & Safety Pin Necklace
As much as I honestly love jewelry of all types, the one thing you’ll most likely never find me wearing is a single strand of pearls. There is something about this classic piece that is just a bit too buttoned down for me. However add a bit of metal in the form of gold safety pins, à la Tom Binns, and I’m all over it! This necklace is so easy to make and is the perfect way to temporarily (or permanently) funk up those pearls that are starting to collect dust in your jewelry box.
You’ll need:
- a pearl necklace
- a handful of 1 1/8″ gold safety pins
- a handful of 1 1/2″ gold safety pins
Rapsodia Spring 2013
Warning: before you fall in love with Argentinian label Rapsodia, keep in mind that their über-romantic and bohemian threads are sadly not yet available here in the US. But it doesn’t mean we can’t continue to swoon over their spring collection – where jackets and dresses, inspired by embroidery and floral motifs from Thailand, Vietnam and Mynamar, are paired so perfectly with various washes and styles of denim. Bohemian rhapsody, indeed.
Dairy Farm
Located in the rural town of Roxbury Connecticut is an old dairy barn that was recently converted into a three-bedroom house. With over 7,000 square feet, the space is filled with amazing details like a circular sofa built around a white plaster hearth, a pizza oven, heated tile floors, and tons of light and open space.
Double Vision
It’s impossible not to be spellbound by photographer Charles Bergquist‘s double exposure photographs. Check out the rest of his engaging work here.
