Lotusland is a thirty-seven acre botanical wonderland in Santa Barbara, California. Former owner Ganna Walska, a Polish opera singer and socialite, once said “I’m an enemy of the average.” This explains why most of her life was dedicated to creating an impressive botanical garden full of rare plants, cacti and topiaries. What an exquisite place to visit!
Maurie & Eve
Summer is on the horizon for our friends Down Under and Sydney-based brand Maurie & Eve‘s latest collection has us already reminiscing about lazy afternoons and sweltering summer nights. I’m loving the oversized printed tees, cut out jacquard dresses and ripped denim. Winter what?!
Wengenn in Wonderland
This little gem has been making its way around the world wide web but I just couldn’t resist sharing it with those of you who haven’t seen it yet. Freelance artist Queenie Liao was inspired by Adele Enersen’s Mila’s Daydreams and created her own series of dreamy scenes while her baby boy naps. Wengenn’s wonderland takes shape with just some clothes, stuffed animals and other common household items. Honestly, adorable!
The Anastasia Of Winter
A World Of His Own
Renowned artist and sculptor Jorge Pardo spent 6 years building his home on 740 acres of land, deep in the northern Yucatán jungle in Tecoh. Combining Mayan culture and modern design, Pardo embraces the jungle with open doors and windows, rows of hammocks hanging above a blue tiled floor, origami-like ceilings, and even a swimming pool with a terrarium built close by so swimmers can see the roots growing underwater. Honestly, WTF.
