UK-based illustrator Chris Labrooy‘s renderings had me do a double take. What looks like photographs of real-life sculptures of interlocking classic cars are actually digitally manipulated illustrations using 3D tools. So imaginative!
DIY Crystal Belted Coat
Single strands of pearl and crystals were seen throughout Thakoon’s über feminine Spring 2014 collection. Much to our delight, a handful of coats were adorned with crystal “belts” around the backside. It’s a chic way to add a bit of feminine flair to a coat and better yet, recreating the look will take you less than 30 minutes. Sweet!
You’ll need:
- a coat with vertical or horizontal seams
- a vintage crystal necklace
- a piece of paper and pen
- wirecutters
- a needle
- thread
No Goods
The second collection from George Frost, Lulu Frost’s unisex line, draws inspiration from 60’s civil rights and anti-war movements. No Goods is made in New York City with materials like bullet casings, hand braided horsehair and out of circulation dollar bills. Intimate personal messages are also expressed thought the collection by way of symbols and morse code that spell out luck, loyal, unite and trust. Love.
