This farmhouse, nestled in the Sonoran Desert, is just oozing with cozy, rustic charm. It carries the perfect balance of old and new and I’m especially obsessed with the use of the modern, eclectic light fixtures – probably because I’m on a serious lighting hunt for my own home. An afternoon to bask poolside, under that Arizona sun, might be in order to fully appreciate this home.
I’m loving the moody feel of Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi’s pre-fall collection for Preen, with dark navies, cobalt blues, blacks, and pops of orange in the form of asian-inspired floral prints and trim details. Ankle skimming dresses, flowing shirt dresses, and chunky knit sweaters make the collection so incredibly wearable. And how amazing is the silk flight bomber jacket resembling distressed denim? Need. Need. Need.
We’re only 3 days into the new year and I’ve already got the travel bug. After recent trips to Russia, Turkey, Greece and Southeast Asia, I’m itching to head south to warmer climates this winter. Mexico City has been at the top of my list for awhile and after seeing this ecological enclave in the Riviera Maya, where the beach meets the jungle, Rosewood’s Mayakobá just might have to be a necessary stopover. The secluded resort sits before the second largest coral reef in the world and all the suites feature private plunge pools.
Dick Tracy meets the Jetsons in Tel Aviv based artist Ido Yehimovitz‘s illustrated series, Ze Future. Makes you wonder if we’ll ever see hovering vehicles in “ze future” . . . if so, I’ll be first in line for the Jeep Wagoneer!
