One of my favorite daily reads is Jean Stories, a new site dedicated to people and their love affair with their jeans. I live in my Levi’s and couldn’t imagine my life without them, so I find it fascinating to share in other jeans stories. A recent feature profiles LA stylist Kate Brien and her perfectly worn in white jeans. But what’s really amazing is her Instagram account, View From The Topp, where she chronicles her effortless, tomboy style and her covetable shoe collection. I found myself scrolling through over a hundred photos in her feed, lusting after her multiple pairs of Jenni Kayne d’Orsay flats and her Beatrice Valenzuela moccasins.
I’ve never been a fan of the pink hair trend so it surprises me how much I love the idea of a purple dye job. Purple just seems softer and less harsh than pink. And with hues like orchid, periwinkle, violet, lavender, lilac, rose and deep burgundy, there’s a shade for most all hair types. Now I would just need the guts to take the purple plunge.
The only word to describe Laura Santos‘ Greenwich Village residence is: wow. Four years ago, the decorator and her husband purchased three adjacent rowhouses and transformed them into a single, five story townhouse equipped with 21 foot ceilings, a dressing room, a media, a playroom, an outdoor oasis and an indoor pool clad in quartzite slabs. Yeah, I know – jaw dropping.

I only hope that my rescued buddy Gordos will be around to play dress up with my future baby one day!
